Services at DHI

The core purpose of DHI is to fill a gap in service provision for people with drug and alcohol problems, with particular regard for those who are socially excluded as a result of poor housing, lack of employable skills or other means.

One of our strengths is being able to respond to our clients' needs by offering a tailored programme from a range of practical and emotional support services.

DHI deals not only with the health and emotional well being of our clients, but also with real practical issues such as housing, social isolation, social exclusion, lack of basic education and employable skills. These factors can act as barriers to recovery, or are often the underlying causes of drug misuse.

DHI now offer a range of specialist services in Bath and North East Somerset, Mendip, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire, including:

Outreach, Needle and Syringe Exchange, Shared Care, Structured Day Care, Services, Groupwork, Counselling, Resettlement, Floating Support, Supported Housing, Criminal Justice Services, Aftercare, Alternative Therapies.
